Hi Family, it's Elaine all the way from Berzerkely (rap for Berkeley).

First off, I just wanted to say I miss you all (and chicken adobo, esp. Grandma’s)!
Second, school is going great. I am still exploring different fields of study. This semester, I am taking Intro to Economics, A Linguistic Study of American Languages, Biological Anthropology, and a fun class in Sudoku. So far, the material for econ and linguistics has been pretty dry. Bio Anthro has been pretty interesting, but I don’t want to jinx it. I will let you know when I finally decide on a major. ☺


I’m still involved in lots of fun activities. Alpha Phi Omega still makes me do tons of community service. I joined a little dance group with my friends- I’m learning some salsa, Indian, Persian and hip-hop. I’m also enjoying living at my new sorority house, Sigma Kappa. My roommates are amazing, and they make me study more than I use to. Haha




Which bring me to my third, last, and main reason for writing this blog.
I wanted to let you know that I am participating in Relay-for-Life walk/jog/run-athon with my sorority. My goal is to raise at least $20. I figured if I just got a dollar from every Villanueva, I could easily reach the bar. Come on, there are so many of us right?

Relay For Life is a life-changing event that brings together more than 3.5 million people to:
• Celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer. The strength of survivors inspires others to continue to fight.
• Remember loved ones lost to the disease. At Relay, people who have walked alongside people battling cancer can grieve and find healing.
• Fight Back. We Relay because we have been touched by cancer and desperately want to put an end to the disease.

Rachel Passes Series 66

Despite battling a sinus infection, sleep deprivation, and fueled solely on rice krispy treats, caffein and determination, our dear Rachel passed The Uniform Combined State Law Examination also called Series 66 exam last month. Woo hoo! Congrats!!!
